If we had to pick one word to describe Meagan and Chris’s wedding day, it would be FUN…actually, super fun…but that’s two words. Meagan and Chris’s wedding was such a joyous representation of their love and they pulled out all of the stops to celebrate! It even included a shiny red vintage car that matched their wedding perfectly!!
Meagan and Chris exchanged vows at the beautiful Williamsburg Community Chapel. The love and emotion during the ceremony between Meagan and Chris overpowered the large church sanctuary. The tender moments as they exchanged their vows and promised eternal love were met with many joyous tears. There’s no doubt that these two were meant for each other. After the ceremony, Meagan and Chris were whisked away in the vintage red car for some portraits at a local park. The partially cloudy sky allowed for beautiful outdoor lighting and the wind picked up just enough to create that romantic windblown veil effect!
The couple continued celebrating with friends and family at the Williamsburg Community Building. Meagan and Chris are both the type of people that wear their hearts on their sleeve and it showed in all the small touches throughout the day. Everything was decorated in bright colors that captured Meagan and Chris’ fun and charismatic nature! The tables were each decorated with a different color centerpiece, large engagement photos were hung around the room to add a personal feel, and the cake topper captured their relationship perfectly! The couple ended the evening dashing through confetti poppers and taking a few more photographs along the Colonial Parkway (who could pass up another ride in that awesome car!?). It was a beautiful wedding and we couldn’t be happier for the new couple!

We love it when a couple’s wedding captures the true essence of what they love and who they are as a couple! Meredith and Matthew’s wedding was just that. Matt works at Eastover Retreat Center in Surry, VA, and Meredith did a wonderful job capturing their shared love for the camp and being outdoors by creating a vintage woodsy themed wedding. Their wedding day was full of little details that were a true reflection of the connection that they share with each other! There were pine trees at the church ceremony to create the sense of being outdoors, homemade pine boutonnieres, slices of tree stump as part of the reception centerpieces, and even pine tree saplings for guests to plant as wedding favors!
The abundance of love from both Matt and Meredith’s families was also a theme that radiated throughout the day. The morning started off rainy, but inside the beautiful Bacon’s Castle Baptist Church, the mood was anything but dreary. The joy that flowed from Meredith and Matt’s family during the preparation was unmistakable. Everyone had trouble holding back joyful tears as they oohed and ahhed while Meredith finished her final getting ready touches. We then took a few minutes to capture some stunning photos in the antiquated church doorway. The diffused lighting from the clouds outside was perfect! The wedding ceremony was a true celebration of the love that Matt and Meredith share together. The guests truly admired the couple’s relationship and seemed to be like extended family to Matt and Meredith. Afterward, we stepped outside for some family photos. The excitement for the new couple that everyone was feeling was so overwhelming that we almost forgot it was drizzling! Thankfully, the rain stopped in time for us to take a few more photos at a beautiful field nearby (Surry, VA is full of those!). The colors of the field and the dramatic sky after the rain shower fit their woodsy wedding theme perfectly! The couple continued celebrating their marriage at the Eastover Retreat Center and left in a shower of birdseed (which we also carried home in our shirts)!
This was our first wedding of the season and we both agreed it was the perfect way to kick off a busy summer. Congratulations Matthew and Meredith! We loved being a part of your special day!
